| TOTAL SCHOOL INITIATIVE: THE FOUR CIRCLE APPROACH
The student, parent, school, and community strength based initiative is designed to bring the key players in the school and community together to focus on building a strength-based environment where students can thrive. Based upon research from the Gallup Organization and Search Institute, a strength based or “asset approach” have been shown to have a significant impact upon student achievement, test scores, and attendance. They are also a powerful way to reduce high risk behaviors. With this innovative model, all four circles – students, families, staff, and community share a role in this process. Each of these circles will be trained in a strength based approach so all are actively engaged in forming circles of support around our kids. WORKSHOP As a stand alone or follow up to the keynote continue the excitement with more stories and data behind a strength based or asset approach. Participants will interact, see how they can use the data in practical ways, and develop seven point action plan on very real, practical ways to bring this about.
